Dont waste time downloading free version unless you just want to preview the app. Its probably a good app if you want to spend $9.99 for all the features, or $2.99 for each activity. Free version offers only two examples of each activity. Really disappointed.

Sadly its buggy and plays horizontally on vertical screen. Looks fun though.

A very nice app!

Just deleted the app. The free version only goes to the letter "C". And the other sections only have two games each. I am not sure about the matching game words because there were only two, but I had trouble with one and I am a 41 year old. They used the word "cup" instead of "trophy" which matches the word "pup" instead of "dog". I think the app could be great if they would first teach each letter (phonetically would help) and include different words with that sound. Then incorporate the games within.

Kids Academy has great apps for preschool learning. Fine motor skills are developed when using the Learn to Read and Write Puzzles. My child enjoyed playing with this app.

Excellent app that teaches children to write uppercase and lowercase letters. I like how the kids get rewarded for their performance: 3 stars for successful task accomplishment at first or second attempt, 2 stars if they had three or four attempts at tracing and writing, and one star if they had more than five tries. It kept my little one interested when he earns rewards.

My daughters love playing the maze games and doing the letter tracing in this game. As in previous versions, I love that with the letter tracing kids are encouraged to write characters in the proper direction and will not move forward if they try to write the wrong way (example: encouraged to write from the top and going down for line letters like l and t.) My daughter is currently tracing letters and singing the alphabet as I write this. :)

Using the Montessori method, this app helps your child to learn spelling, reading and writing. Get your child on the path to reading and writing with this newly updated app. My children have used this app before the updates so I can confidently say that it has greatly improved. They already liked it but now they love it even more! Kid’s Academy has definitely improved the usability of this app. This is especially important for kids with fine motor issues. Another benefit is that there are sufficient visual cues and hints, which is important for children with special needs. That said, there are also clear, age appropriate verbal instructions. The free version only gives a sample of the games but this app is well worth the purchase!

Not only does it develop spelling, writing, and reading skills but it also helps to build a child’s confidence. It makes a child want to learn because it is fun. Not only are they learning how to develop good handwriting skills they also learn how each letter sounds. I love that this program was made so that no matter if your child is right or left handed they can still use it.

Im always looking for ways to keep my mom entertained. She has end-stage Alzheimers Disease, which means shes a toddler in an adult body. When I learned about this app, I couldnt wait to try it out. Mom has limited motor skills and has difficulty comprehending most commands. Because of her limitations I look for apps that will keep her engaged. I look for bright colors, clear graphics, and an upbeat background noise. After downloading this app, I opened it and found the music to be happy. Mom immediately started dancing. She especially liked the sounds of the birds chirping. We started with tracing the numbers, and while this was difficult for her, she liked repeating the commands. The narrator would say "one" and my mom would repeat it. She liked the bees flying around the screen and when I would successfully trace the number, the narrator would say "good job", for which mom repeated. Because I had only the free version, I couldnt advance in the program. The cost of the whole package is $9.99 and I believe would be worth the money if I were using this for a child. Since mom has Alzheimers, the free version is sufficient for us. I would highly recommend this app as it does have beautifully bright colors, clear graphics, and fun background music. My mom gets excited when I open this app, which makes me excited. Definitely a 5-star rating for this app.

This incredible app is just great for any toddler learning writing basics! I love all of the free games that it comes with: mazes, rhyming words, and uppercase letters. Each of the activities are incredibly easy for little fingers to do. I do sit and interact with my child while he is using the app, but any child could do it easily on their own. This app is so valuable for any kiddo. The tracing of the letters, are especially an invaluable resource for parents. My child mastered his letters in a matter of weeks because of this app. I really cannot say how amazing it is for children. I truly believe each child should have access to it. The app makes it so fun and easy for any child to learn.

The Kids Academy reading and writing app is amazing! The three free games on this app are really fun for children. The kids really love these games and cant wait to play. They even want to play when you arent doing it with them because they have so much fun with it. They are really easy for children to follow and I think thats why they enjoy then so much!

Another awesome app, helping me teach my young nephew how to trace and he is actually having fun doing so. The best part is the mazes are a lot of fun and so easy. He thinks its so cool that the bone is laying there, and he drags the bone through the maze and the dog finds it. Another awesome app. If your looking for a great teaching app, this is the one for you!

My twins are learning so much with this app. Not only did it help them learn all of their letters but they can write them all too. The activities and games are so much fun that they dont even realize how educational these apps are and just how much they are learning. I love the fact that they can take it wherever we go and just play while I am taking care of other things. I dont have to worry about whether they are getting too much screen time because its all learning.

*Update - This app taught my daughter the correct way to write her letters using her finger and now my son is using it too! This is an exceptional app for beginners learning to read and write. It starts with mazes, and rhyming words, giving my kids practice with listening to instructions and getting them used to using their finger for tracing in the next activities. Next, my kids are able to work on their uppercase letters. There is a word and picture given for each letter, then it teaches my kids the correct way to write the letter using arrows. Great app!

The new, updated app contains three games: easy mazes, rhyming words and uppercase letters. The maze is easy. The Uppercase Letters lets kids trace along the dotted lines to learn how to form letters. While it is eco-friendly, eventually children WILL have to use paper to learn how to write letters. Tracing the screen with a finger and writing are still completely different. Its great that kids have the opportuntity to play education games, but its very important to master the skill of writing.They learn the shape of the letters though, so its a start.

We love doing the mazes together. At first my daughter needed help but then she was able to do them on her own and was so proud of her self. Her favorite activity is the tracing of the letters. Now each day she is asking to trace all the letters of the Alphabet!! Cannot ask for than that. Apps that are fun and promote learning are our favorite and the best ones to download and share. This is kid friendly and fun to play and learn.
